When fishing with multiple rods or while the rod is in a rod holder it is not possible to keep your bail open and your finger on the line. This ingenious release is designed for open bail fishing. The drop back release acts as your finger to release the line when the fish hits the bait. Tension screw allows for fine tuning of line release tension. Gives a clean release when fish strikes. Drop Back Release securely mounts on rod with plastic locking tie. May be used with up to 40 lb. monofilament line. Don't miss that next big fish because you set the hook too soon. 2/pkg.
